I haven't been playing a lot of otome this month. I really want to get through Hikage's route in Psychedelica of the Black Butterfly but it's TRAGIC and I am WEAK.

I'm also still working my way through Chitose's path in Demon's Bond, it's not bad but isn't grabbing me for some reason.

I think I just haven't been in a game playing mood this month, I've been watching a lot of TV instead. Including the first episode of the Ensemble Stars anime, which based on an otome game. It was cute, so it's on my list to watch when I feel like fluff (my anime-to-watch list is even longer than my games-to-play list >.>)

Last month's discussion of Hatoful Boyfriend reminded me to check out the sequel. So far I'm liking it, I did the first story of the main storyline and it was a nice combination of cute and sad. I also did all the short stories where you go on dates with the LIs to a shrine and they were lovely.

I'm still playing Demon's Bond, now about halfway through the Kazutake route. Which is sweet and mostly about her being quietly competent while he tries to be all Benevolent Sexist at her but doesn't quite succeed.

I'm also still playing Nameless, very slowly. It feels like it's a big investment before I'll reach the part of the worldbuilding that grab me, I think I'll like it once that happens but I'm not there yet.

In non-otome visual novels, I've started playing Fate: Stay Night. I like it more than I thought I would and playing as a hapless male protagonist surrounded by fascinating and complex women is a nice change.

I wrote a couple more short Hakuoki fics:
Even a Tool, Sanan/Chizuru, rated M. It's set during the last arc of the Sanan route and is mostly Sanan angsting and having conflicted emotions (plus sex).
The Experiment, Sanan/Chizuru, rated E, set after the first blood drinking, PWP that is somewhat dubcon-y.

I think I'm going to try writing one more Hakuoki fic in the next couple of weeks, I might just continue with Sanan but I'm also happy to take requests if anyone has any.

I've heard such mixed things about the Fate series. The female characters do sound pretty cool though.
