I don't think I played any otome games this month, although Horizon Forbidden West is a romance game in my heart haha. I did buy the Ukrainian Gmes Bundle which has a few promising looking otome games in it.

I've been playing through the Lovestruck games, trying to get all their music (I play on android and their music is in .mp3 format) and finish the routes I loved the start of. Because of that, I paused on playing Nightmare Harem (it's in the middle of a very compelling arc and it's too much emotions with Lovestruck as well), but Diamond girl is silly enough that I can handle it emotionally at the same time as the Lovestruck games.

If Diamond Girl was darker and/or more dramatic, the Butler Love Interest would have been a Yandere.


Also the Yanbutler's route managed to homophobia its way into implying MC's dad is bi. It's kinda hilarious to think about. Basically, there's a (very poorly developed) curse that any Master of the Misono family who falls in love with their butler... will get wrinkles (MC's reaction to finding this out was basically: "Geeze, the way you acted Yanbutler I thought it was something SERIOUS!"). Yanbutler even says that since most masters of the misono family have been men, this 'curse' isn't usually a problem.

MC's dad has wrinkles.
He fell in love with his butler. Yanbutler's father.

(The story never addressed the implication that being in the Misono family apparantly means you never get wrinkles... .)
