I was discussing otome games with someone on discord and they successfully persuaded me to try the current alpha version of Seven Kingdoms: the Princess Problem.

I enjoyed the demo and backed the kickstarter, but was waiting for the full version before trying it again. But they said it's been stalled at this stage for ages sand makes a satisfying game as is.

I'm still in the early part of the game, which hasn't changed, and having forgotten most of the details am finding it a frustrating mix of too familiar to be very exciting but too complex to breeze through. But it's still a good game and I'm sure I'll have fun once I get back in the swing of things.

I have been playing the demo of this since seeing you talk about it, and it is a lot of fun! It's neat seeing how things play out with the different backgrounds.

I have just achieved arranging a marriage of convenience with Prince Lisle and am now imagining my future opportunities to charm Penelope into romance :p

I ended up shipping Penelope with Cordelia a little much to ship her with my MCs, but it's also a very good ship.

I'm back to SLBP! I finished Hotaru's light ending and wrote it up here: https://scytale.dreamwidth.org/33584.html

I started Masamune's route and...it's not really for me, even though I was very excited for his stoic woobieness, the crossdressing, and his voice actor. His route seems full of characters who are telling you he's really great, actually, when on screen, he's...mostly behaving like a jerk. Also the whole misogyny actually does turn me off. The scene where he pulls the sword on a maid took me from "eh" to "oh no". I very much prefer the opposite, in which everyone acknowledges the LI is terrible right from the beginning.

I love the MC's cooking a lot, though. <3

Otherwise, I need to finish Bustafellows and I want to pick up Psychedelica of the Ashen Hawk some time, especially since I hear there are cameos. :O

Oh thank you for writing that up! I just cannot bring myself to play phone games now my emulator is broken but I'm still attached to these characters and it's great to hear about them.

I am playing Tears of Themis, Touken Ranbu and as always, A3!. Really enjoyed the event in Tears of Themis. I got the SSR Marius card (only my 2nd SSR card period) and enjoyed the story for it. <3 I really wanted the SSR Artem though since I have so few cards for him.

So I had never heard of Tears of Themis before reading your comment, but just after checking my email I checked twitter and there was a nice long description/review. I'm no good with phone games, but it looks really pretty and fun!

It's nearing the end of the month and I don't see a post about the next gotm.
I don't have any suggestions, but since it's October next, I hope we get a spooky, or maybe even horror, otome next!
