Although I enjoyed the Shuu route in canon, one thing I like about otome games is that you can date terrible people and it somehow works out. So I appreciate the genre of fix-its that have her dominate him into a happy ending. Here's one I particularly like:

I don't think I've ever read Hatoful Boyfriend fic before, so I have no recs, but thanks for these.

Sadly my enjoyment of the first was undercut by spending the whole time thinking BUT WHY IS HE HUMAN?? Obviously the answer is: to write porn without having to think about human-on-giant-bird sex, and that's not something I'd be into either (no offense to anyone who is) so I guess I just am not cut out for porn in this fandom.

I was happy that he was a proper bird in the second. It also captures the dark humour of canon, and the way fluffy otome tropes mingle with horror. That sort of thing is tough to write, which is I think one reason I haven't investigated fic, on the assumption that most writers wouldn't get the tone right.

That said I wouldn't mind a fixit fic AU for the True End that lets Hiyoka survive.

Yeah, a lot of the porny fic in the fandom seems to use the Human Visualization Tool. But not all of it! If you are interested in checking out human/bird porn, here's one I particularly like:

I would also really like some happy Hiyoka/Ryouta set after the BBL route in which they live happily ever after together. After everything that happened to them, that would be nice.

I don't think I'd ever read human/bird porn before, turns out it's not really my thing, but I always admire fandom's determination to figure out how their seemingly physically incompatible OTPs can have sex.
