Over Requiemz Drops Today

Well, it technically released yesterday, but I only found out about it some hours ago. I don't keep up with game accounts anymore to keep me from overspending, but I've been looking forward to this for some time now.

Forgive me for possibly necroing a community, but it still has plenty of active members who I'm sure want to see a little more otome on their reading pages (or else they wouldn't have joined!). I hope that my contribution on this beautiful Community Thursday will remind other people that they have free will and can revive communities whenever.

So, Over Requiemz. It's a game that bills itself has one where you can make any choice you want without punishment. I also read an interview where a dev said they wanted to make a game for players who like sweet, cute moments and for players who like tragedy and despair, and those in between. If you liked Virche Evermore I'd say keep an eye peeled on this maybe getting an English release one day. Or if you know Japanese well enough, you can get it now! Nice! I was wondering if anyone here knew Japanese and had plans to play, or if I have to buy it soon to get the scoop myself.

The thing is that I'm not sure if my Japanese is quite there yet. A good way to test this is by reading and watching stuff from the official site, and as usual it seems I still have the issue of understanding banter well, but exposition might as well be... Japanese to me? xD

Unrelatedly, I'm surprised no one spoke up earlier to spread the news about Hakuoki SSL ~Sweet School Life~ getting an English release? That seems like a big deal to me! But I won't say more about it. This is an entry about Over Requiemz.

Hello! Thanks for posting!

I'm the mod, unfortunately I had to step back some time ago from posting myself due to personal reasons and by that point was pretty much the only person posting at all. But I am still happy to do admin things like keeping on top of spam etc, and am still reading and support other people posting. I don't know how many other people are still reading but probably some.

I don't know ANY Japanese so this specific game isn't for me unless it gets an English release but it does sound interesting.

I read your post about it, and I'm sorry to hear about all that. I was thinking that even if you're inactive when it comes to posting, you won't mind modding while the community is so slow. And maybe, just maybe, if the community becomes active again, there will be someone who wants to help mod too. I would offer to be a mod, but I wonder if I have what it takes? To be a moderator? And I think I should probably establish myself as a member before I ask to be Partially In Charge... well, once everything aligns, I don't think I'd mind modding.

Wow, this looks interesting. Fingers crossed this one will get an English release!

I think I have Virche Evermore, but I haven't played it yet. So many otome games on my backlog, with not enough time.

I enjoyed Virche Evermore and do recommend it, particularly to fans of melodrama and gothic romance. Some people said the sad moments lasted too long and made them too depressed, but I never felt that way. If you ever get to it, I hope you have fun :3

Ooh, thanks for sharing! This is such an interesting goal for the game, and the idea of never being punished for a choice is fascinating!

I unfortunately don't know Japanese well enough, but I will pine longingly!
