RE: Alistair++ is a free otome game (dating sim featuring a female protagonist and male bachelors) by sakevisual. It is available for Windows, Mac, and Linux.

I thought this game was cute! The writing and art wasn't AMAZING but was enjoyable enough, my main issue was the confusing and boring stats raising, but I just gave in and used a walkthrough.
Has anyone else played it? My personal vote for Best Boy is Shiro, a sweet shy guy who is neither childlike nor a yandere, which can be hard to find.
Merui loves video games, especially her favorite MMORPG, Rivenwell Online. Merui also has a very short temper, so when some JERK named Alistair steals a rare item from her, she's determined to exact revenge on him. Unfortunately, she has no idea who he is in real life. But hey, that's never stopped anyone, right? Take control of Merui and make new friends, balance schoolwork and fun, go shopping, search for the culprit, and maybe even discover a new romance.

Haha, I laughed. Is such a thing even possible?
I tend to like sweet and shy guys, but they do tend to be childlike and then I pretend very hard that they aren't.

Hmm, maybe I'll make a post! It would be on theme and everything!

To add to my confusion, "sad, young sweet character discovers new ways stuff about their identity and how to interact with the world (like, for instance, not murdering people)" is one of my favorite tropes! And inevitably there comes a certain point where it's like, "hmm, I think this is a borderline squick".
I feel like sweet shy guys also tend to get the "I'll be a man for you" line, which clearly, and then I have to pretend that this is also not related to gender norms that go where I cannot follow.
I thought Hustle Cat did a good job of having characters who feel young (and maybe sweet) but not childlike!
