I'm very excited for Dairoku: Ayakashimori. I've wanted more myth-based games forever.
This Variable Barricade summary is amusing me: The mysterious handsome men who appeared in front of Hibari, the only daughter of distinguished Toujou family, were the groom candidates who had been sent by her natural enemy, her grandfather.
I'm happy to hear that more otome games are going to be released next year~ I can't wait to play all of it, lol. I'm particularly looking forward to Olympia Soiree and Variable Barricade as both have beautiful artwork and stellar voice actors!
I'm not interested in VariBari, based on what I've heard of the heroine - I don't like tsundere as love interests so I have no desire for a tsundere MC, either. Also from moege I can say that I really can't stand MCs that are mean/disrespectful to the love interests, even if they grow out of it, so I'll pass.
The other two look interesting though. I've heard a lot of people wanted Olympia Soiree, though many were concerned that the unfortunate implications in the premise would prevent it from being localised. It definitely sounds like... a challenge for localisers to minimise the literal white supremacy stuff there. None of the guys SUPER jumps out at me as 'yep, I'll definitely like them' like I got from Cafe Enchante but I'm cautiously optimistic overall. Also I do love historical type settings so that's a big plus!
Dairoku is also interesting - the art style is unique but the lack of backgrounds in some of the CGs has me :/ The descriptions of the guys on VNDB make almost all of them sound surprisingly appealing - I hope it doesn't go a Collar x Malice type thing and have them all be super rude at first. NGL I'm really meh on modern day workplace type settings. I do love me some monster boys, though.

Me: What?!
*reads plot summary*
Me: ...Ahaha, I see.
For anyone else wondering: It's about white the colour, versus like...purple, green etc. Though from what I can tell is intended as a rather heavy handed metaphor about how prejudice is bad. While also having the heroine be The Last White, Who Must Make Magical White Babies To Save Everyone With Her Purity. Which uh...is certainly a Choice.
