Otome on the Switch!
2020-06-25 11:59Some new games have just been announced just as I bought a Switch myself :D
Cafe Enchante US Fall 2020
When Kotone inherits her grandfather’s Tokyo café, she discovers the shop holds more secrets than anyone could imagine.
Piofore Memories US Fall 2020
Liliana Adoronato was born and raised in the church in the center of the Italian town of Burlone. Three criminal organizations control parts of the city, and Lili discovers that she is literally in the center of their turf wars.
Have any of you played these games? They certainly look pretty. I hope they come out in Australia too (even if I have to wait for our Autumn)
Under the cut: some otome games that are already out on the Switch.
I got most of these from this post with reviews and details, then did a brief search to see if I could find them on Steam, so probably screwed up some details.
Switch Exclusives:
Collar x Malice: Comes out tomorrow!
A dangerous shadow organization launches a campaign of fear and violence in the city of Shinjuku, pushing society to the brink of chaos. As a young police officer tasked with restoring order, you become the target of an attack, and have a poisonous collar attached to your neck.
Code Realize Also on Playstation. I liked this game a lot!
Venture into a reimagined steampunk version of 19th century London. Follow the adventures of the poison-skinned maiden Cardia, the men trying to help her, and the mysterious organization intent on capturing her.
Love365 games Note that this isn't all the content for these games and you can get the same content in the mobile version, but as individual little stories which cost more overall. Some of these are currently on special!
Our Two Bedroom Story: You work for a publishing house and decide to start living on your own. But a coworker’s in your new home?!
Kissed by the Baddest Bidder: Working at Japan’s first hotel & casino, you stumble upon a black-market auction, and end up as one of the items for sale. Five men place the winning bid, and now you’re completely at their mercy…
Enchanted in the Moonlight: Your days are dreamless and mundane until, one night, you notice a star sparkling in the heavens. Suddenly, the beautiful gods of the stars appear before you.
Ayakashi Koi Gikyoku
~Sweet and sour dramatic forbidden love story between a human and mythical spirit~
Iris School of Wizardry -Vinculum Hearts-
You’ll be attending with not only from the wealthy family, but also smart and talented boys and girls attends. School life romance game at the school of magic that everybody wants to attend.
Kitty Love -Way to look for love-

Date: 2020-06-25 04:23 (UTC)Wow, those new ones are so pretty. Especially Piofore with the lilies and the period clothes, though I have some slightly mixed feelings about romancing fictional people from real criminal syndicates in my romance game.
I'm very excited for Cafe Enchante and hoping for good urban fantasy worldbuilding and mysteries; it also sounds like it's going to have something to do with family legacies? I've heard that the game shares a writer with Hakuouki, so I am definitely picking it up.
I think Cinders is also available on Switch (but definitely cheaper on PC).
In general, it still seems very sparse (and apparently most of the translations are bad, including Kitty Love, which I love the idea of D:).

Oooh.
Cinders! I knew I'd seen some otome I'd forgotten.
And yeah some of those translations look dire. Askys is generally ok, at least.

Date: 2020-06-26 07:24 (UTC)I certainly wouldn't be surprised. I've encountered some very obviously MTL games on mobile, too.
