Current plans:
1) Catch up posts. I have my reminder set up to do it monthly but am pondering making it more frequent.
2) Occasional "request a rec" posts. I think the weekly posts on the old comm was too frequent, so will start with monthly and see how they do.
3) Random otome news/reviews etc I happen to encounter/write.
4) Sit back and admire the pretty graphics
chrry is organising
Does that sound ok? Anyone have suggestions or preferences?
Also! What should this community's policy be on linking downloads/videos etc of games?
My natural instinct is to say:
1) Links to fan-made patches that require a purchased game are fine.
2) No links to downloads for games that are legally available.
3) If a game isn't legally available any more, then download links are ok, but the post should be locked just in case.
4) Videos of game playthroughs are ok, unless the game creator has explicitly said it's not.
Does that seem reasonable?

Date: 2019-06-30 13:02 (UTC)Can we also have something on fanworks? Like, maybe a weekly post on fanfic&fanart you have posted this week? Or a recs post for other people's fanworks?

Date: 2019-07-01 17:44 (UTC)And for people sharing their own fanworks (not recs), should that have its own montly/weekly post? or that would go in the same montly/weekly post as recs? or.. nothing? nothing meaning: no special post for it, when someone wants to share their work, they make a whole post about it and that's it (?) I'm mentioning this option because it's what I usually see in other communities 🤔

Date: 2019-07-02 20:55 (UTC)I feel like it might be better to have a general game of the month post: recs for fanworks, but also just general "I played this and loved it" etc, whatever people have to say about it.
People can definitely post stand alone fanworks posts! The post would be for people too shy to do that :) Though maybe it shouldn't be regular, just an occasional thing. Most people don't create very fast.
Thinking about it, I'm not sure people will have many new rec thoughts month to month of any sort. Maybe all the recs posts should be more intermittent than monthly?
Game of the month post and monthly catch up should definitely be every month.

Date: 2019-07-04 13:24 (UTC)How about, instead of that, we have just one post for these things (one for each, I mean), and we just pin it under the intro, or I could add links to those in the sidebar so they're easy to see and access. People can comment there whenever they want, and we have all the recs/fanworks/whatever in the same place too 🤔
Just an idea tho, I don't really mind either way, but I agree that monthly posts for these things might be too much.
