I finished "Miss Detective's Undercover" by Day 7, in which MC is a detective trying to find the identity of "Mystic Thief X"

It has a pretty bad translation at times, half the love interests are not memorable (I have to say that their Yandere is the most mild Yandere I've ever seen.)

But I got surprisingly engaged with the edgelord love interest (even if his plot didn't really get resolved at all, he actually HAD something resembling a plot) and Mystic Thief X, who... the reveal of who he is was not surprising.

It does have some pretty nice CGs and my moods folder was expanded by my screenshots of the characters saying things like "I'll kill you painlessly! :D" and "Dream or not, it does not matter. Just have some soup."

Its treatment of mental health is bad. MC openly mocks the Yandere character when he shows a hint of the yandere thing (and he just gets Mildly Annoyed at that) and one of the edgelord's things is pretending to have evil alternate personalities as part of him doing attention seeking stuff (it's kinda amazing how sympathetic I found him despite that).

Yep!

Oh, I just saw that there's an Otome Nekopara game been released, and unlike the originals, it's free... and I am actually tempted.

A friend says they heard it feels like a demo and hopes that they will add more to it later. And that you pick your route at the beginning and from then on it's more like a kinetic novel.
